Also, I was really glad my 12 year old daughter was with me and that she enjoyed the band so much.
Thanks so much for another great musical experience! I also really loved listening to some of your music.
The music was fantastic and it brought back great memories of my late father and I listening to Glenn Miller records when I was growing up. I just want to say what an amazing performance at the Colchester concert on Oct.11th.
My son has been a huge fan of Glenn Miller and was delighted to attend your show.
You folks though of songs that I knew, and some I didn’t.
My grandfather showed me The Glenn Miller Story with James Stewart made in 1954. Miller’s compositions and arrangements and I hope to learn more.
I’m hoping on learning In the Mood, Artie Shaw’s Frenesi, and many more.
I’ve heard about the kid who joined you guys on stage , and let me say you would not believe what I would do to be in that person’s shoes. I’m Jacob , 15 sophomore in high school and I attended the concert on Thursday 6/22/2017 in San Jose .
Both of us had a wonderful time and your talents are off the charts. I went with friends to the recent Concert in Newcastle NSW on 24th Sept 2017, thought the band was great however, the concert was lacking something.I am so happy I was able to see my all time FAVORITE jazz band live 🙂 I may have been the only 17 year old in the audience but I didn’t care- In The Mood was my absolute favorite song and I am so excited I got to see you guys play!I even got to talk to the trombone section (my instrument also). For those of us who love the sounds of the Big Band Era, your shows are always a treat. From the videos I have seen on Yout Tube and from that night – its as if every show is Nick’s first and last – what I mean by that is that he gives it his all.
I think Nick is the best GMO leader since GM himself.
The highlights for me were Maria’s emotional and lyrical “Body and Soul”, “Mission to Moscow” which really cooked but still swung at that fast tempo and when Nick dedicated “In the Mood” to the veteran of Normandy who was celebrating his 100th birthday.
